The Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey (SBACNJ) is a chartered local chapter of both the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Upon joining the SBACNJ (local association), you automatically become a member of the NJBA (state association) and NAHB (national association). The SBACNJ encompasses an active membership and professional staff. The SBACNJ covers Monmouth, Middlesex, Mercer and Ocean Counties.
The Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey was founded in 1945 and designed to help builders and those involved in construction to better contend with their challenges through collective action.
The SBACNJ is a trade association serving all building related industries … from the one-man subcontracting company … to national builders…to suppliers…to mortgage companies. Anyone involved with builders in any way can benefit from the services, programs, information and opportunities available through Association membership.
The SBACNJ’s policies are developed by a Board of Directors comprised of builder and associate members. Policies are carried out by our full-time professional staff and committees.
For those individuals, firms or corporations whose principal business is the construction of residential, commercial or industrial buildings; or the remodeling of residential, commercial or industrial buildings.
For those individuals, firms or corporations whose business is related to the supplying of services or materials to the construction industry.

SBACNJ Legal Fund
The SBACNJ monitors ordinances that are introduced in Monmouth, Mercer, Middlesex and Ocean counties and institutes litigation challenging those ordinances when necessary.

The SBACNJ provides you with many opportunities to network and do business with other members of the industry. Throughout the year the SBACNJ holds monthly general membership meetings. Special events and educational seminars are also held to allow you to meet and make contacts with others in the industry.

BUILDERS POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
BPAC exists at the local, state and national association levels. Our BPAC, on the local, state and national levels is regarded as one of the most powerful, contributing to pro housing candidates. The state BPAC keeps you informed as to which office holders and candidates support the issues you care about and organizes effective political action in support of candidates who support our industry.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOME BUILDERS
Our national association, NAHB, is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and represents the interests of members throughout the country. NAHB is a federation of more than 800 state and local builders associations throughout the United States. Currently, NAHB represents over 203,000 members. As the “Voice of America’s Housing Industry,” NAHB is dedicated to serving the needs of individuals members as well as state and local associations.
